Download the latest Xarigami core, modules and themes.

Latest stable releases

The latest stable release comes in two flavours:

  • xarigami cumulus 1.4.3 - requires php 5.2 or above.
  • xarigami cumulus 1.5.2- requires php 5.3 or above (php 5.4 compatible).
  1. Core distribution - contains  core code plus key 'core' modules required for running Xarigami including Dynamic Data, Authsystem (authentication), Mail, Blocks, Roles, Privileges, Themes, Base (site configuration) plus installer. There is a default theme,  a selection of example themes, and utility themes (print, rss) included.

  2. Base distribution - contains core code, key 'core' modules, the default theme, example themes and utility themes, as well as commonly used '3rd party' modules such as Articles, Categories, Keywords, TinyMCE (wysiwyg), Sitecontact (Contact form/mailer), Sitetools, FormAntiBot and many more.

Latest development builds

Xarigami development core builds are created (nearly) nightly. They contain the latest 'stable' branch code from our Monotone code repository. Many people run production sites out of Monotone so the aim is to keep the nightly builds stable. However, they do not go through the testing that a formal release does.

  • xarigami cumulus 1.4.4 - requires php 5.2 or above.
  • xarigami cumulus 1.5.5 - requires php 5.3 or above .

Install and upgrade

You can find detailed installation instructions for installing xarigami at http://xarigami.org/resources/installing_xarigami.

If you are upgrading, then please make sure you pay special attention to the upgrade instructions at http://xarigami.org/resources/upgrading_to_the_latest_xarigami. Upgrade is supported for Xaraya 1.1.1 to Xaraya 1.2.3 and all version of Xarigami 1.1.3 upward.

Requirements

  • PHP 5.2.x for the 1.4.x branch, and php 5.3 or above for the 1.5.x branch which is also php 5.4 compatible.
  • MySQL (V4.1 or above, and preferably at least V5), PostgreSQL (8 and above), or SQlite V2 database.
  • Some 3rd party modules may require non standard php modules 
  • Webserver that supports the above

Monotone repositories

We maintain all code using Monotone, a free distributed version control system. If you would like to access the Monotone code repositories, please see xarigami dev - starting with monotone and  xarigami dev - db and branch reference

Nightly developer snapshot builds can always be found in the devsnapshot download area at http://xarigami.org/assets/xarigami/devbuilds

The latest stable code can be found in the monotone com.2skies.xarigami.core.1.4.0 branch for 1.4.x builds and com.2skies.xarigami.core.1.5.0 branch for 1.5.x builds.

The latest development code can be found in the monotone com.2skies.xarigami.core branch and requires php 5.3 or above.

Bleeding edge, and highly unstable, can be found in the monotone com.2skies.xarigami.core.dev branch and requires php 5.3 or above.

Modules

All commonly used modules, plus others not found in the core or base distribution are built when there are changes, and available for download in the Module development snapshot directory.

Themes

All commonly used themes plus others not found in the core or base distribution are built when there are changes, and available for download in the Theme development snapshot directory. Please see are Monotone Articles for more information on the repository structure and access.

Reference & resources

All core, module and themes are open source and available under the terms of the GPL2. They available from our Monotone repository.

There are a number of articles on Xarigami key areas for developers and theme creators, as well site admins. Please see the Reference section in Resources.

Demo site

There is a xarigami demo site for your use. Not all functionality is available on the demo site, and we cannot guarantee it is always functional when you get to it due to the open access and the fact that it is a test site for many. Please let us know if you find issues and we can reset it for you.
